Nalapad Academy

The school creates a balanced curriculum that imparts knowledge and problem-solving skills in children by striking a balance between theory, activities, and co-curricular activities. Nalapad Academy is a Cambridge pathway school. It follows CAIE curriculum from grade 1 to 10; Cambridge Primary ->Cambridge Lower Secondary -> Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE). Nalapad Nest is the pre-primary section that is inspired by Reggio Emilia's philosophy.

Various differentiated strategies make assessments for learning relevant to all learners. Assessment for learning is incorporated into everyday classroom practices and the feedback is shared with students. This helps the students to work on their challenges. It also helps facilitators keep tabs on the improvement of the children and see where the focus should be given. Regular assessments of concepts ensure that no child is left behind when it comes to understanding. The school’s approach to teaching and learning is learner-centered.

At Nalapad, through collaborative learning students learn from each other, enhance their creative skills, boost their confidence and self-esteem. Thematic approach to learning integrates knowledge from various disciplines and encourages students to explore topics in-depth, read various sources and engage in various activities. Differentiated instructions help in stimulating the students’ interests and maximize the learning opportunities.

Our classes involve audio-visual presentations, group discussions and debates that results in the construction of knowledge. Nalapad Academy aims to be an APPLE Distinguished School in 3 years, by employing differentiated and concept based learning, to develop pragmatic skills in students through real world engagement.

The unique mentoring programme ensures the same mentor for a student for 3 continuous years, so the child’s emotional needs are met at school. Nalapad has one class of mentoring every day for students, where they follow a curriculum which strengthens the students and equips them to face the challenges of the world outside.
