Kendriya Vidyalaya, No 1, Air Force Station, Jalahalli West was started in the year 1964. The Vidyalaya has Classes from I to XII with an enrolment of 2632 with Science and Commerce Streams at the Plus-Two level. The Vidyalaya provides modern education using the latest Educational Technology with OHP, Computers, LCD projectors and Interactive Boards with Internet facility to prepare students for life in the 21st century.
To cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education To initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education and the National Council of Educational Research and Training etc.

An advertisement for online registration to Class-I shall be issued by the Regional Office in the local newspapers. Admission are based on quotas, priorities, lottery system, and special provisions. No Exams for class I to VIII. Admission test for grade IX. For grade XI, based on aggregated marks scored in class X. Childrens of private/self employed parents may get admission if seats are vacant.
