At Early Years from Nursery to Upper Kindergarten/K2, all the Subjects are taught in a transdisciplinary approach to maximize the understanding and its application to the world we live in.
The Primary & Junior School (Grade 1 – 6th) is structured around Inquiry based Experiential Transdisciplinary Learning aligned to International IB PYP (Primary Years Programme); emphasising on creating Personal and Reflective Learning Environment.
The Senior School (Grade 7th– 12th) Curriculum is dynamic and responsive – it evolves, responds and develops in accordance with the needs of our students and contemporary research into learning and teaching.
The Academic Curriculum at GJR International School is so designed that Experiential Learning is an interwoven part of Primary Years Programme and Senior School Curriculum. This process is evolved to help the students to have sound practical training to substantiate theoretical expressions.
- Assessment and Reporting:

For preprimary, No formal Assessments are conducted, however anecdotal records and formative observational assessments are conducted to understand the learning gaps and take remedial measures in accordance with the child’s potential.
For Primary and Junior school, Regular Assessments in the form of individual understanding, critical thinking, creative ideating, observations, student conferences, communication ability and conceptual understanding are conducted. Utmost care is taken to fill in the learning gaps through Differential learning strategies.
For Senior grades, Assessments are conducted at regular intervals in accordance with the school and affiliation Body’s guidelines.
- Teaching Methodology:

The Key Focus of the Academics at GJR revolves around the Cognitive, Emotive and Skills based 360 Degree Approach. The school applies the Multiple Intelligences approach, developed by Dr. Howard Gardner from Harvard University. There are eight intelligences that need to be nurtured and developed in children: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, naturalist, interpersonal, and intrapersonal.
