About School

Gifted Education And Research Foundation found its beginnings in the year 1995. The school is an English medium co-educational school, offering classes from preprimary (2.5 years) to class XII (affiliated to CBSE). Our GEM+ (preschool) environments are based on the Montessori Method of learning coupled with the Reggio approach. We have over 20 years of experience in developing curriculum and are a Multiple Intelligences and Talents Development Gurukul. Our students have 100% pass percentage in boards.

About Currriculum :

At present we have two campuses with GEM+ environments, located on GEAR Road, Doddakannelli (Gurukul - Affiliated to CBSE, Grade I-XII) & Somapura Gate (HUB - Grade I-VII).

At our Gurukul campus we follow the Elementary Montessori system for Grades 1 & 2. We also offer the option of Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 5-9 at this campus.

The school follows the CIPE (Creative, Inventive and Productive Excelment) model (accredited by LWF-UNESCO-Learning Without Frontiers in 1996) of education that incorporates effective ideas, activities and programs from different parts of the world. Students take up an in depth study of a topic all year long which is assessed extensively under CIPE.

Assessment and Reporting:

All students have their final exams at the end of the academic year. Up until Grade 8, each paper is created based on a theme. For example if the theme of the Math paper is Harry Potter, the questions would be part of a larger story, asking the children to help Harry Potter solve the puzzles and answer the questions, so that he can can complete his quest.

Teaching Methodology:

GEAR is based on the concept of School Beyond Walls, where the rigid boundaries of a classroom are dissolved and learning is based on real-life situations. Children continuously construct, refine and reconstruct their knowledge through each experience that they have. As a way to understand what type of knowledge seeking and learning occurs at different ages,

Smart Class (Grade 4-12): All classrooms are equipped with Smart boards, so these Smart classes have access to a large and extensive database of digital content.
